音樂會將由音樂總監湯米．泰勒利克親自率領，由台北電玩節慶交響樂團與國立實驗合唱團擔任交響樂與合唱演出。現場隨著電玩影像搭配音樂、燈光與音效演出，氣氛熱烈到大提琴可以嗨到整個橫抱起來跟電吉他對決；即使不愛電玩的樂迷，也可以從音樂與視覺感受輕鬆聽交響樂的樂趣。「做電玩交響音樂會，一直是我的夢想。」2005年，電玩遊戲配樂家湯米．泰勒利克在加州好萊塢露天劇場創辦了第一場VGL音樂會，邀請洛杉磯愛樂交響樂團演出，現場吸引萬人爆滿樂迷觀賞，自此聲名大噪，至今進入第11年。VGL創下發行全球第一張電玩音樂合輯的紀錄，2008年受到金氏世界紀錄認證，成為當年度演出最多電玩音樂會的團體。讓電動走進音樂殿堂如果還有人說「愛打電動的一定是壞小孩」，那真的是落伍了！樂評人賴偉峰說，電玩遊戲產業發展至今，已經從次文化蛻變成為主流文化，多年來虛擬影像的進化，線上萬人連線的社群經營、全球競技的奪冠獎賞到同人角色扮演，電玩成為21世紀娛樂與交友的大本營之一，就連配樂也都深具感染力，強化了玩家對於遊戲的忠誠度。賴偉峰表示，「VGL已經成為電玩交響音樂會發展重要的一筆，他們讓電玩音樂從宅男的打機房走進音樂廳殿堂，就像當年艾靈頓公爵把爵士樂帶進卡內基音樂廳一樣，具有深刻的時代意義。」邀電玩迷打扮赴盛會主辦單位牛耳藝術總監牛效華表示，能夠讓電玩迷走出家門，一起到小巨蛋參加一場他們喜歡的音樂會，其實很難得。也歡迎電玩迷們一起打扮，一起參與，「這也是一場很適合揪朋友與家人闔家觀賞的音樂會。」VGL電玩交響音樂會將於10月25日舉行，地點在台北小巨蛋。(中國時報)，
